TEAM TEXAS TRYOUT INFORMATION & REGISTRATION

Team Texas High School Tryouts 2025

We would like to extend an invitation for you to participate in the TEAM TEXAS Tryout Camp. You will compete for a spot against High School Juniors and Seniors from across Texas. Team Texas will participate in the heavily scouted Lone Star High School Showcase April 11th-13th, 2025 in Dallas, TX.

The Showcase is sponsored by Dallas Stars Tournament and supported by the Texas Amateur Hockey Association (TAHA). This prestigious event is open to High School Juniors and Seniors from across the USA who are currently playing on their high school hockey team during the 2024-25 season.

The Team Texas All-Star Team will list a 20-man roster. Due to the possibility of injuries and or health issues, 2 Alternate Forwards, 2 Alternate D-men, and 1 Alternate Goalie will be listed. (Alternates will only be asked to play if one of the starting 20 players is unable to play)

Team Texas 2025 Roster will be announced via a posting on our TAHA website, HS Hockey League websites, and social media pages. Various College teams and junior clubs will be in attendance for maximum exposure to players. It is advised that all players come in top physical condition so that you perform well in this competition.

Lone Star Showcase 2025

Date: April 11th - April 14th, 2025

Player Cost: $1,100.00 (showcase team fee, team apparel, team uniform, hotel, team snacks & meals)

TEAM TEXAS TRYOUTS:

Player Registration:

All players will be required to register online with pertinent player information. After registering, every player will be vetted to ensure they are currently rostered and have played games for their current school prior to being accepted to the event.

All players MUST be in “Good-Standing” with their current club team, TAHA, and USA Hockey.

All players MUST be registered for tryouts by midnight on March 5th.

There will be NO walk-ups on the day of TRYOUTS.

Players are required to wear full equipment including a neck guard and full cage/shield for games.

Players will receive tryouts jerseys which will be returned at the end of each tryout session.

Goalies will wear their current High School Game Jersey for Open Tryouts.

All registered and accepted players will be randomly assigned to a team upon check-in.

Saturday, March 7^th & 8^th at The Children’s Health StarCenter- Plano, TX.

COST: $30.00. Registration is REQUIRED.

Friday, March 7^th:

4:45p - 5:30p> Player Registration and Jersey Assignment

6:00p - 7:15p> Tryout Session #1> All Players

7:15p-8:00p> (Rest & Re-align Teams)

8:00p - 9:15p> Tryout Session #2> All Players

9:45p> Selected players will be announced at the rink for the final All-Star Game.

Saturday, March 8^th:

8:00a-8:30a> Registration and Jersey Assignment

9:00a – 10:15a> Final Tryout Session #3 (All-Star Game)

Note* Final Player Selection will be announced by April 12th
